Manners, taste, class, comportment, and social grace are all factors in determining eligibility for membership. We require that members’ websites be tasteful, well written and professional in appearance. We will not accept ladies whose websites feature tasteless and/or explicit nudity, unprofessional photos, or explicit details deemed inappropriate by us.
Members will maintain minimum booking times of at least two hours, and compensation for this minimum time is not to dip below US$500 per hour on average. Exceptions may be made for non-US members contingent on local markets. These members are still required to have an average per-hour minimum for two hours which exceeds the average in her location. We endeavor to raise this minimum to US$500 per hour after one or two years for all members worldwide.
The association is an organic and dynamic organization, meaning that its direction will largely be determined by the group as a whole. Changes to the association will often (but not always) be put to a vote. Candidates desiring membership- “Potential Pearls”- will be approved with input from existing members.
Charter members are the "governing board" of the association, and we will be arranging board meetings with charter members twice a year (which may take place via conference call) to plan for future directions of PEI. Established members are ladies who have been members of PEI for over six months, while associate members are ladies who have just joined us.
We will only accept ladies for membership who have been recommended by or met with an existing member for an in-person interview. It is up to potential members to make themselves available for these meetings at the convenience of the existing interviewing member. We no longer accept ladies based on their websites alone. Many of the members participate on this forum; it may behoove all potential applicants to participate there as well, so the members may get to know you.
We communicate with each other via a private email group. Access to this group is granted upon approval of membership. This is a way to keep in touch with each other, forward warnings about questionable men, and pass on other valuable information.
Once a year, PEI will arrange a vacation retreat for all members which will last from three days to a week long, and get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere. This retreat may be a cruise, a ski-vacation in the Alps, a week at an exclusive resort in Brazil, or similar getaway. Location will ultimately be decided on by a vote. Members will cover their own costs.
Please note that should any of our standards be violated by a member after acceptance to PEI, she will be expelled from the association immediately, with no refund of her dues. She may reapply in one year, but there will be no guarantee of acceptance.
Membership Dues
Membership dues are not fees paid to PEI for advertising on our site. One cannot, under any circumstances, purchase a membership. Members are selected through a rigorous process, including an interview.
Membership dues are necessary to enable the presence of this site. Hosting, web maintenance, domain name, bandwidth, website development, etc. all cost money, and your annual membership dues will go towards these endeavors. At the end of every fiscal PEI year, PEI will release our fiscal records to its members at their request so they can see how their dues were used.
Endorsements
We encourage feedback from the gentlemen who engage a PEI's company to compliment her and to ensure she has met and continues to meet our standards. We understand that each meeting is subjective to the participants' moods, desires, and personal tastes, and this is why we do not publish 'reviews' as such. Each PEI will have an opportunity to read and respond to an endorsement submitted by a gentleman before it is published on the site. If three or more negative endorsements are received for a particular member, we will review the status of that member and address the issue appropriately. This may result in expulsion from the association. We do not tolerate dishonesty, vulgarity, or inappropriate behavior among our members.
Members may choose to disallow publication of endorsements at their discretion. We will still alert each member to her receipt of such endorsements, but in the case that she would rather not publish them for public consumption, we will not place them on our site. This is up to her. Keep in mind we do not accept for publication any endorsements which include explicit details or inappropriate language. All published endorsements will be tasteful and complimentary, but each lady who receives a less-than-complimentary endorsement will know about these as well, and have a chance to respond. The existence of endorsements (but not the actual endorsements themselves) which reflect an unpleasant experience will be made available by request to inquiring gentlemen. All ladies will be made aware of such requests before such an endorsement's existence is made known to the inquiring gentlemen.
Future Ideas
PEI also plans to make available to their patrons (clients) a private membership (Patron Membership, or PM), which will include access to a forum in which both patrons and members may communicate with each other away from the eyes of the site-viewing public. Patron Membership may require submission of screening information to ensure the safety of all members.
If it is desired, PEI will arrange social gatherings- "meet and greets"- at an exclusive resort or club during which PEIs may socialize with existing and potential patrons. Only PMs may attend socials.
PEI plans to offer its members referrals to services such as independent contractors’ healthcare plans, legal advice, business advice, financial planning, and other services desired by members.
